Celebrating 10 years of Junyirri: a framework for planning community language projects

This year marks 10 years since First Languages Australia published Junyirri: a framework for planning community language projects.

To celebrate, we hosted an online professional development webinar for language workers and community members to learn how to run a community language planning workshop using Junyirri.

The webinar, which was led by FLA team members Annalee Little and Jillian Bowie, walked through the framework and provided guidance on how to lead conversations and activities in a workshop setting.

We’ve also published new companion resources for Junyirri, including presenter’s notes, a workshop worksheet and a project plan template. These are available for download via our website.

If you’re using Junyirri in your community planning, we’d love to hear about it - please share your stories by emailing us or tag us on social media.

You can watch the Junyirri webinar through our Vimeo account, as well as other webinars and information sessions run by FLA.
